POSITION
Summary:
The Contract Administrator is responsible for handling RFP/RFI submissions, contract authoring, contract implementation, and contract maintenance.
Those responsibilities include coordinating the contract implementation workflow, identifying potential gaps, recommending solutions, and sharing best practices.
The Contract Administrator is also responsible for review and redlining of contract terms and conditions in close coordination with Legal, intake and evaluation of invoices, and monitoring vendor performance against service level agreements.
Preference given to applicants with the following:
Experience in the legal field Understanding of vendor risk management, contracting, negotiations, invoicing reviews and recovery.
REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
Requires a BS degree in business, health care administration, or a related field.
B.
Knowledge:
Requires knowledge of managed care and health care concepts and terminology.
Requires knowledge of the health care industry.
Requires knowledge of health care contract administration to include the relationships among operational units involved in executing and maintaining contracts.
C.
Skills:
Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively traffic and coordinate vendor onboarding contacts and materials.
Requires excellent research skills.
Requires analytical and decision-making skills.
Requires ability to effectively facilitate meetings and to coordinate efforts among multiple departments.
Requires project management skills.
Requires standard word processing and spreadsheet application skills.

Experience:
Requires a minimum of four years of experience in a managed care environment such as health plan operations with a minimum of three of those years in contract administration.
