As a Industrial Security Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:
Conduct security surveys of assigned contractor facilities such as evaluation of organization structures, legal operating plans to determine eligibility for a facility security clearance Provide security oversight and assistance to assigned contractor facilities seeking information systems (IS) that process classified information Facilitate integration of counterintelligence (CI) methodology into administration of the NISP and DoD Personnel Security Program and provides CI information and guidance to the field elements regarding the CI mission Integrate CI, Special Access Programs, Critical Infrastructure Protection, ODAA, and AA&E disciplines into ISP Field Operations Observe newly-assigned and journeyman Industrial Security Representatives or Industrial Security Support Researchers (ISSRs) on facility assessments and surveys for the purpose of evaluating performance and to provide staff assistance to contractors The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened from the Office of Personnel Management's (OPMs) basic qualifications requirements. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, and will typically be demonstrated by working at, or immediately below the level of the job being advertised, for a year or more. The previous work experience must clearly demonstrate the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience required for this position is:
Experience providing security oversight as primary security interface for cleared contractor facilities; Establishment and maintenance of a security program in compliance with National Industrial Security Program (NISP); Conducting security surveys of assigned contractor facilities prior to granting a facility security clearance, and periodic security assessment of contractor facilities; Determining contractor eligibility for a facility security clearance (FCL) under the NISP; Providing security oversight and assistance to contractor facilities for IS processing classified information and CI threat information; Integrating CI principles into industrial security mission responsibilities; Work with and/or train newly-assigned and/or journeyman Industrial Security Representatives or Industrial Security Support Researchers (ISSRs). Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:

Security Education, Training, and Awareness The incumbent is required to attain and maintain the Security Fundamentals Professional Certifications within two (2) years of entry on duty. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
