Project Engineer

The Engineering Project Manager shall have experience coordinating and completing all aspects of the engineering design of wireless telecommunication sites including raw land sites and colocations on existing towers, rooftops and water tanks. The successful candidate will have experience with all A&E drivers from the initial site walk/audit through the design of final construction drawings. The candidate shall also have the ability to direct a technical team in the execution of various engineering assignments. He/She will be a dependable self-starter with excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to work independently on multiple projects at one time.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Create and execute project scope and work plan and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Complete projects on time and on budget
Communicate project status to clients and internal management,
Train, supervise, direct, and manage a team of engineers and designers
Coordinate with site acquisition and construction management team members,
Prepare structural reports as needed.
Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Control and Value-Engineering review of site audits, lease exhibits, zoning and construction drawings and structural reports.
Coordinate sub-consultant team members including surveyors and geotechnical engineers
Utilize project tracker/spreadsheet to monitor and maintain project schedules.
Review and stamp drawings and deliverables.
Registration and Experience Requirements:
Professional Engineer or Registered Architect required
Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management preferred
5 years of professional work experience, OR Previous wireless telecommunications experience is required
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Microsoft Project
Proficient in AutoCAD
Experience with proposal preparation and pricing for wireless telecommunication design projects is a plus
Other Requirements:
Valid driver's license and registered vehicle required
Occasional business travel required on a monthly basis.
Education & Experience requirements: BS in Engineering, Architecture or Construction ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
