Software Analyst
a. Identifies and clarifies user requirements and selects applications to satisfy requirements; provides guidance relative to estimating resource requirements and schedules; assists users by helping with troubleshooting when required; assists users in the design, development and implementation of applications and tools for the required environment. Provides information and guidance on optimization techniques, interface requirements with existing applications, coding, security, and use of peripheral equipment.
b. Thorough knowledge of operating systems internals and internal operating of one or more systems components; experience solving problems on high performance computers. Experience collaborating with other analyst or helping users solve problems is desired.
The software analyst will be responsible for design and development of the technical baseline and performance of a collection of storefront subsystems / code branches delivered to the Government Customer on the contract. Contract will provide an order entry experience delivering a customer-focused, commercial-like experience to Government customer. This common user interface across the Enterprise will address all products and services in the Government Catalog, including enterprise email, satellite connectivity, network services, mobility and cloud offerings. The system analyst will be responsible for coding components in releases of 30 day or less sprints.
Basic Requirements
Education Requirements
o Web development and web service experience,
o Technical Skills : Visual Basic, VB Script, HTML, .NET Frameworks including VB.NET and C#.NET
o Hibernate, Oracle, Tomcat (or other J2EE container)
o Development in Linux, Unix, and Windows Environments
o COTS Integration
o SDLC skills, preferably using Agile approaches
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
Desired skills
Web development experience,
Technical Skills : Javascript, JSP, JQuery/YUI, Java, JSON, Web Services (REST andor SOAP), Hibernate, Oracle, Tomcat (or other J2EE container)
