Furniture Repair Technician

Overview:
Do you like to complete small repair projects and have an eye for quality repair work? Are you handy with tools? CORT Events is seeking a Furniture Repair Technician who will help to repair and refinish product to make it look like new again so that is ready to go back out to shows and events around the area.
The perfect candidates are those who know how to maintain furniture products close to their original state.
Responsibilities:
Repair furniture to include work in upholstery, leather/vinyl, wood & laminate repairExamine worn or damaged furniture to determine extent of repairs required, then performs basic repairs, or ships complex repairs to the Las Vegas repair shop.
Conduct daily touch-up and repair of furniture.
Order and maintain parts, hardware, and supplies for repairs.
Train other warehouse personnel in the basics of touch-up repair.
Track daily repaired pieces, for warehouse report.
Maintain a consistent quality and quantity in work produced.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent or 1 plus years of experience without a degreeAbility to speak, read and write English.
Ability to make minor repairs to furniture and to match colors.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to work with chemical based repair and cleaning products safely and according to OSHA regulations,Must be able to work overtime as needed to include:
long hours, odd hours, and weekends.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
