Job Description:
Our client, a conveyor manufacturer, is looking for a Controls Engineer to be based out of their Hanover, MD location.
This individual will be responsible for assisting with the installation and commissioning of large and complex material handling equipment with a focus on the e-commerce market.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in designing electrical control panel layouts, bills of materials, and schematics.
This person should come from a strong PLC background specifically programming PLC's for control systems that include field devices such as photo eyes, shaft encoders, barcode scanners, scales, etc.
This role will include an extensive amount of travel to different customer sites.
Must-Have:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related field3
years of experience in a controls role for mid-level, 7
years for senior level Extensive experience with electrical schematicsAbility to configure PLCs, HMIs, computers, networks, cameras, and variable frequency drivesProficient in AutoCAD ElectricalAbility to code (C/C++, JAVA, MATLAB, Python, Ladder Logic, or other IEC Languages).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
